Christine A. Brown
Christine A Brown is a freelance Training Consultant, Lecturer and Motivational Speaker. She has over thirty years’ (30) experience in Customer Service spanning the banking, investment, retail, and real estate sectors. Her tenure in the financial sector created a passion for service excellence and she believes that customer service is about genuinely caring for the customer. Hence, her partnership with HEART TRUST NTA (since 2005), where she periodically conducts customer service training workshops. She is also a certified Assessor with NCTVET.
As a Training Consultant, she has developed, facilitated and conducted numerous training sessions and workshops to a diverse audience particularly in the areas of customer service and communication. Christine spent several years at Unicomer (Courts) Jamaica Limited, as a Regional Trainer.
Christine is a trained teacher and has been an Adjunct Lecturer since 2007 and currently lectures at the University of the West Indies (Mona & Western Campuses), in the area of communication. “My students are my customers so I give of my best and then some more” She previously lectured at Colbourne College, International University College, Mico University College, Portmore Community College and the University College of the Caribbean.
She joined the Jamaica Customer Service Association in 2003 and held the following positions.
- Vice President, Communication & Public Relations, 2005 – 2007 & 2012 – 2014.
- Conference Coordinator – 2004 & 2005
Christine is also a member of the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ).
Christine holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Teaching (Adult Education) from the Mico University College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. She has done several professional short courses and is currently preparing for the Project Management Professional certification (PMP).
Christine is an active member of her church, Arlene Gardens Gospel Assembly and has a passion for the development of young minds. A proud graduate of Wolmer’s High School for Girls, she remains true to her school’s motto, ‘Age Quod Agis’ ‘Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability’.
